The ingredients needed to make Dal Chokha:

  1. Provide 1 cup of cooked Tur dal (split pigeon peas).
  2. You need 4 of boiled potato cubes.
  3. Get 1 of chopped onion.
  4. Use 1 of chopped tomato.
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp of mustard oil.
  6. Use 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
  7. Use 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  8. Get 1 pinch of Asafoetida (hing).
  9. Prepare 1 of Chopped green chilli.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
  11. Get to taste of Salt.
  12. Prepare as needed of Chopped coriander leaves.
  13. Prepare 2 tbsp of Sprout moong dal (green gram).
  14. Prepare as needed of Coriander leaves.

Instructions to make Dal Chokha:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai, then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, onion, tomato and hing cook for 1 minute..
  2. Then add sprout moong, potato turmeric powder, salt to taste, mix it, cover and cook for 2 minutes..
  3. Then add cooked toor dal, green chilli chopped. Cook it for 1 minute then serve it hot with rice, roti etc..
